New Year’s Eve is often considered just another “amateur night” for those who drink regularly (and responsibly) during the year. So why ring in 2015 like an amateur when you can toast the New Year with craft beer? And what better place to celebrate the New Year with a beer than at the place where the beer is made? There’s a brewery in every borough getting in on New Year’s Eve celebrations this year:

Every year around this time, a fresh crop of articles arrive baring advice on how to survive the office party. If you paid close attention this holiday season, you now know how to diffuse awkward conversations and not to talk incessantly about work.
Why do we have office parties? If the goal is to foster meaningful workplace connections, it may be time we reconsidered our approach. Most office holiday parties fall desperately short of meeting this objective.
This is how vegans do Christmas. Jealous?
Even though summer has come to a close and the chilly weather has headed our way, it hasn’t stopped the sun from shining. The team over at ICU Eyewear gave us the opportunity to try out some of their newest trends in eyewear. Most people don’t realize that wearing sunglasses blocks the sun from damaging our eyes and prevents those horrific crows feet of course. So we were super excited to try out these sunglasses that challenge UV damage in all seasons.

We brought the super stylish Blue Modern Cat Eye Metallic Temple Sunglasses ($21.95) on a trip outside the country with us and not only did we receive a ton of compliments from the locals but the oversized frames gave us better coverage in the blazing sun and more protection against those dangerous UV rays. The sunglasses are polarized, which like our Ray Bans, help minimize squinting and they are 100% UV A and B protective. All ICU sunglasses are available on ICUEyewear.com.
ICU has a great selection of stylish sunglasses that will keep you squint-free all year. Check them out cupcakes!
Even though it’s starting to get dark earlier, there was something about last night that felt like spring instead of fall. Maybe it was the streets still overly crowded with commuters blabbing into their smartphones on their way home from work or the clear view of last night’s pastel purple Empire State Building? Maybe it was just the exciting feeling of knowing we’re closer to the weekend? It was refreshing to get a few miles in last night–and no, not on the treadmill. But the dark sky and the warmth from my leather jacket reminded me not to be fooled, that cold weather is creeping up on NYC. So instead of crashing in front of The Voice reruns with a cup of froyo, we took advantage of the warm-weathered evening and strolled over to the west side (so far!) for the Eye of Ja preview event.
